Quality Control Manager
Description
MISSION: During the sample phase, the person in charge of Quality Control must ensure that all materials and accessories are subject to performance and conformance testing to meet company standards, and during the production phase that the garments correspond perfectly to the sample article, ensuring that industrial modifications and qualitative improvements are executed correctly.
Profile
MAIN DUTIES:
Set up and launch of product testing on garments and/or fabrics in both the sample and production phases in external laboratories, preparation of test requests for suppliers and results analysis.
Verification of colour conformity and quality of raw production materials.
Data collection regarding care instructions provided by suppliers and verification of composition and subsequent label lay out.
Checking and fittings of pre-production samples.
Monitoring production progress (Time & Action) with weekly or biweekly updates.
Visiting suppliers to carry out statistical quality controls and verification of production progress.
Carrying out production sample approval before sample shipment.
Carrying out quality control measures upon arrival in warehouse: statistical check of every article.
Identification and communication of flawed items and possible micro-interventions required in order to ship to clients.
Verification of commercial disputes.
Obtaining updates from external laboratories regarding product safety norms.
Upkeep of care instructions to put on garments.
EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION, WILLINGNESS TO TRAVEL.

Profile
MAIN DUTIES:
Requesting materials from suppliers following fabric Direction received from the PM and from the Design Director.
Receiving technical sheets complete with all necessary product development information from the Tech Designer (checking and verifying that all necessary information is included) and communicating data to supplier.
Planning and organising of sample returns.
Planning fitting dates together with Pattern Making department and communicating all information to supplier so that deadlines may be met; possible modifications to in-house calendar according to different requirements (delays, unforeseen circumstances, etc.)
Completing the DiBa, including colourings and communicating all accessories for each garment to suppliers.
Organising sample launch in time for expected collection launch.
Sample checking and verification that all samples match the requests and information sent to the supplier.
Inserting retail details into MF.
Organising colour cards (dedicated resource).
Travelling to visit with suppliers for status checks.
Organising final sample fitting in collaboration with Quality Control for handover to QC and Pattern Making department
Past experience in the position, residency in Bologna or surrounding areas, good knowledge of English required.
